Simple Cake Smash Session | DFW Cake Smash Photographer

As a photographer, I am always excited to capture precious moments for families, and one of my favorite sessions is a cake smash! I had the opportunity to photograph a simple cake smash session for the sweet boy Lucas.

For a baby-focused simple cake smash, this time I used some little fake cactus plants and a boho room divider as background. I loved the simplicity of this session, which allowed us to focus on the genuine emotions and cute baby face. The use of soft light and neutral colors gave the photos a timeless and classic feel that will be treasured for years to come.

The second step of a simple cake smash session is bubble bath fun time. This allows baby to play, and smile, and splash. Most of the time we can get some beautiful smiling captures of the baby even if the baby does not like the cake part. Our studio (Peppermint Studio, Southlake TX) also has several kinds of bath props to choose from to fit babies of different sizes.
